Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (abbreviated as QRIS, the abbreviation being a play on keris, a traditional sword; Indonesian: Kode QR Standar Indonesia) is an Indonesian QR code standard developed by Bank Indonesia (BI) and Indonesian Payment System Association for cashless payments in Indonesia.
ShotCode was created in 1999 at the University of Cambridge when researching a low cost vision based method to track locations and developed TRIPCode as a result. It has been used to track printed TRIPCode paperbadges in realtime with webcams.

When a user scans a QRpedia QR code on their mobile device, the device decodes the QR code into a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) using the domain name "languagecode.qrwp.org" and whose path (final part) is the title of a Wikipedia article, and sends a request for the article specified in the URL to the QRpedia web server.
