Steve Nash. Stephen John Nash OC OBC (born 7 February 1974) is a Canadian professional basketball coach and former player who most recently served as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 18 seasons in the NBA, where he was an eight-time All-Star and a seven-time All-NBA selection.
Larry Brown was the head coach for the Nets from 1981 to 1983. Chuck Daly coached the Nets for two seasons from 1992 to 1994. John Calipari was the head coach for Nets from 1996 to 1999. Byron Scott was the head coach from 2000 to 2004 and led the Nets to two NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.
Nash has not been on an NBA bench since retiring as a player in 2014, although he served as a player development consultant with the Golden State Warriors during their dynastic run.
