Hertz is a scam! Hertz owes me $743.63. I rented a car for two weeks because I didn't know how long my dad was going to live. I pick up the car on March 28th and return it on April 6th. Not only was I charged an additional $318.64 for insurance I didn't want or need as American Express offers car rental insurance.
I rented a car with Hertz through the Capital One portal last week. The total via the portal was $212, that’s $156 due at booking and $55 at pick up. Well, after returning the vehicle, I was charged an additional $105 by Hertz for “CONCESSION FEE RECOVERY,” “CUSTOMER FACILITY CHARGE,” and “TAX”. After contacting Capital One and ...
The nice thing about ex-rentals is that companies like Enterprise, Hertz, etc are going to maintain them well and fix problems relatively quickly. A broken down car loses the company money, so there's arguably more preventative maintenance done on a rental than a privately owned vehicle.
It depends on a few factors such as inventory, existing reservations, and just the overall mood of the rental company staff. Just be overly nice and you might end up in something pretty nice. 2. adamosity1. • 2 yr. ago. I ended up with a Jeep Wrangler—a fairly fun car to rent but I’d never consider buying one…. 2.
National is the way to go imo. 4. Award. flipfiend. • 6 mo. ago. My first and only time renting from Hertz was last month, also at a major airport. Hertz ran out of vehicles and was only taking reservations by the time we landed. Well, luckily we had a reservation and paid for some of it online before we flew down.
Daily Cost without fuel: $50.52. The bad: The rates are high (just like if you rented a car as a consumer). Thanks to demand and the pandemic. Most of the cars are 2-3 years old with higher than normal (for Hertz) mileage. Getting a reservation was easy, until it was time to pick up my rental.
Hertz in Europe sucks. Reply reply. kiwi38rd. •. Hertz in Europe totally sucks. They screw your on the smallest dent and bruises with no regard for your loyalty status. Sixt is the only company that behaves more like a chill North American rental establishment in Europe. Reply reply. Ok4Independence.
National loyalty scheme is the best, Hertz upgrades are comparable with National imo. I always book National for work and leisure, and absolutely love it. If you have top status in another program (car, or even hotel), National will match you to executive elite which usually results in some great car choices.
Been checking car rental for 13 days in canada for about a week now, and i haven't found anything for less than like $2,000-$2,500. After much searching, found a random aggregator site for car rentals and found a full-size car from hertz for about $909 and booked it. The site was kind of sketchy looking, but a lot of them are.
That being said, most rental cars have too many miles for any manufacturer to certify and a certification from a rental agency is t worth the paper it’s printed on. They slap on a “certified” sticker to make you, the consumer feel better about their purchase. 1. Few-Flower-6547.
